fasttree software package provides phylogenetic trees from alignments of nucleotide or protein sequences, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fasttree
fasttree is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fasttree package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fasttree *
You will get with fasttree package name, version, architecture and description in a table
